Lucky star is really good. Not exactly "short" per se, there's around 24 episodes, but the entire show is really fun to watch.
I recommend Zankyou no terror as well. It's not too long, and it's pretty interesting.
One more that i recommend is golden boy. Funniest shii i ever seen.
