What was known about the COVID-19 viruses is this. It has about 85 to 90% same DNA the 2003 virus SARS. The original name given to the 2019 virus was SARS CoV-2. The name is short for SARS Corona Virus 2
The original SARS virus was known to have human to human transmission. It was also known to have aerosol transmission. This was discovered when a patient in a Hong Kong hospital was being treated for SARS. A patient in a different room across the hallway contracted SARS. The only way this could happen is with human to human and aerosol transmission. The story about the virus originating in a wet mark is a bunch of baloney.
Sheng Li, the Chinese bat lady scientist was tasked with finding sources of SARS virus after 2003. They looked far and wide, but could not find any SARS viruses in bats. Finally, they found some in southwest China, hundreds of miles away from their lab in Wuhan.
Studies in 2005 showed that the SARS virus was susceptible to being blocked by hydroxychloroquine (HCQ). The researchers even believed that HCQ could have prophylactic (preventive) properties against the SARS virus. HCQ is the inexpensive, very safe and widely used in Africa anti-malaria drug. Fauci blocked the use of HCQ by the medical community. Keep in mind that if an alternative treatment was available, they could not issue an emergency use authorization for the mRNA vaccine.
In 2020, Fauci was claiming that there was no evidence of human to human transmission, nor aerosol transmission of the SARS CoV2 virus. This is completely contrary to what was known about the SARS virus.
The social distancing of 6 feet apart was knowingly ineffective. The narrative was the droplets were the problem and everything needed to be wiped down with disinfectant. None of that would prevent aerosol transmission.Face masks also were ineffective due to aerosol transmission. Even N95 masks would not provide complete protection. The 95 means it blocks 95% of particles as small as .3 microns. An N95 mask will still allow 5% of aerosols to penetrate the mask.
The safest place to be away from aerosol transmission of the SASR CoV-2 virus would be outdoors. But many states were not allowing you to gather outdoors. And some people were arrested for being outdoors.
Never forget.
