Meet with Moko.
I hear my phone ring and I answer the phone, hearing a young voice yell in my ear.
“OMG! YOU ACTUALLY ANSWERRRED!!!!!” Ow- my ears… That voice could pierce the heavens… and I should know. I’ve destroyed hell. “Meet me near Dr Marcus’ place I want to talk to yoooouuuuuuu!!!!!” She says hanging up. While I walk there, I bump into Adrian who was heading inside of Marcus’ office.
“Oh hey Mister Matt!” She says adjusting the hood of her jacket. “We didn’t really have time to talk, but I’m Adrian! Nice to meet you!”
“Yeah uh you too. What are you doing here?” I said, kind of confused why she would be here when we were supposed to meet with Robert.
“Well… we were the only ones who knew what happened, and I needed someone to talk to about this… Is this a good place to do it?” She says hesitantly? I scoff and glance at the windows.
“Oh yeah, Marcus is great! Actually if you want, I can accompany you.” I say smiling. This seemed to comfort Adrian and we opened the door together. Marcus greets us as usual and we sit down to tell him our stories. Marcus listens intently as Adrian spills out all her insecurities and trauma from being abandoned and being bullied. She even told him all about not being human. After this was all over, Adrian felt a lot better.
“Alright. Thank you Dr Marcus… See you later, Matt!” she says as she got back up and left. I was about to leave but Marcus stopped me.
“Matt, hang on.” He said holding a hand up to stop me. “I want to thank you for bringing such a wonderful guest. The things she has said to me seem extremely personal for her, and I strive to help her. And this mind world is very interesting as well. Is this a normal occurrence for you?” He says thinking until… “Perhaps I should treat you to dinner for all you’ve done for me! No, I won't be cooking.” He says laughing at that last statement. I laugh along but then realize I completely forgot about Moko.
“Yeah sure it’s a deal, I really gotta go though!” I say waving and running out of the office. Once I make it out, Moko is there, sitting on the bench outside. She gleefully jumps up and spreads her arms up happily.
