Socially one can act feminine or masculine however they chose, but it doesn't change the fact that male and female are two different physical sides of the same species. A caterpillar doesn't get to just tape on wings to turn into a butterfly. Same thing with this, adding a social mask doesn't make you female. You can act feminine, but unless if you go through some sort of metamorphosis you're not actually female.

That's not what I said. If a butterfly has wing damage and it can't fly, it's still a butterfly. If a caterpillar puts on paper wings but can't fly, it's not a butterfly.

Only in rare cases is there questions, such as when a human gets 2 X chromosomes and 1 Y chromosome or a women gets 1 x chromosome, but it's generally the presence of the Y that decides the gender. If there's no Y, the body acts if it were female and if there is a Y, the body acts if it's male.
That is the only debatable example out there and even Scarf doesn't fall into this category.

• Growing breasts, as well as fat moving to face and hips/thighs
• Losing muscle tone and sweating less
• Thining of chest hair and facial hair and expansion of pelvis
• Smaller and fewer erections
• Shrinkage of testicles and severe slow down or halt of sperm production

Hormone therapy on a female (in a transgender attempt) results in essentially the opposite of what happens to a male in terms of physical appearance, and they too lose some significant level, if not all, of their fertility.

Physical appearance does not determine the sex. Fat/hair in certain areas, size of breasts and skeletal shape are byproducts of the sex (necessary for survival or not), not the sex itself.

so its what determines sex then if its not based around reproductive viability, physical appearance, hormones, then what is it? does that make it all superficial and not really anything? what determines sex if its none of these things, and if it really is just chromosones that determines your sex then a pretty decent population of caterpillars would be considered butterflies and vice versa

The deciding factor, whatever it is, is not physical appearance nor the presence of fertility due to the reasons I've provided, which remains a fact, and that is the subject of this debate.
The genome of a caterpillar is identical to a butterfly (and yet a butterfly and a caterpillar are clearly different), but different sections of the genome are being used for the caterpillar and the butterfly. Males and females don't even have the same genome. That was a clever technicality of my analogy you caught there, but even that isn't necessarily a problem.
Weither it's chromosomes, sex at birth or a biological factor we have not yet accounted for, the points I've made proves that physical appearance and the presence of functional fertility are eliminated from the table.
