my guess, Lizardmen are coldbloded. therefore fabrics and cloths only serve as fashin and even then they are never seen wearing them. Therefore the act of making fabric would be on a purely trade based intrest. Thus its a net positive.
Yeahh that's my point tho. Cold blooded animals would need more exposure to warm sun, fire, or heat lamps, clothes would help them keep the heat in for longer
