If you mean by "benefit of the doubt" you mean ignore the obvious, if you mean "claim and absurd notion you can read his mind" you mean remember the quotes he said out loud of referring to Epstein as a "terrific guy" and referring to Epstein's child sex abuse victims as "women on the younger side" that Epstein likes as much as Trump does.
If Trump was never part of the pedo elite then how come he and house Republicans who supported him are actively trying to prevent the release of the Epstein files?
Maybe there's a bigger fish to fry, the DOJ, FBI, CIA are finally cleaned up enough to be capably on it and releasing the list now would ruin the catch of a very bad guy.
