You are saying that West Berlin had no capitalism and that it did not dominate the engine of their economy? That instead the East Berliners who'd just escaped the unending horrors of Marxism immediately embraced the ideological baby-horror of Democratic Socialism and its politics and ideology? Interesting.

The Democratic Socialist Capitalists were still far superior to the Marxist economy of East Germany. Many parts of the former Eastern side, are still much poorer the the West.
