There's also these tried and true setups for lying to us:
"According to reports..."
"It's been reported that..."
"A source tells us that..."
"Sources confirm that..."
That's really just the tip of the iceberg.
And whenever there's a natural disaster...
"People on the ground are saying..."
"Local news is reporting..."
We've all heard and seen/heard how these so called journalists operate. They've lied to us for so long that (at least in my case) when they trot out a new one, it's super easy to spot.
