I don't do conspiracies a lot, but get with this. During Trump's first term, the elite were enjoying tax cuts and had more money to spend or re-invest, making it easier to amass wealth. They knew that if Trump lost in 2020, they would lose them. So they might have pressured corporations to push woke politics in its most obnoxious forms to American citizens, not to get them to support social issues, but actually to push them away from the left and continue voting for Trump-like politicians.
That's what we saw the past four years. People boycotted their favorite products at the hint of wokeness. People who once supported trans rights turned the other way. All while corporations used fake wokeness to boost ESG scores and attract investors. Now that Trump is here, they drop the woke act, and if we were paying attention, we would have known it was an act all along. At its heart, woke politics is a good thing, and it's sad to see it contorted into something foul.
What's worse is that many affluent Americans who at their core support these social issues refuse to do anything about Trump since they're able to get wealthy partly because of him.
