The problem is that there’s no option to have a square dead zone. That’s how the original games handled the movement. In the original Monkey Ball games, the square dead zone incentivized moving diagonally for a bigger speed boost.
So having that completely gone is a huge loss for Banana Rumble.
On top of that, for some reason they decided that every character should control differently with their own speed, mass, and tilt. Therefore all stages need to be designed with multiple movement types in mind. How do you design a stage with multiple speeds? The answer is YOU CAN’T.
Well, you can. But then all the stages are mindless simple sludge with very little challenge or experimentation. Because all characters need to be able to beat the stage with their own physics.
