Democrats can still win. They need discrete, effective ways to help marginalized groups, not in-your-face identity politics, which as we saw pushed many moderates to the right. But for now, Trump is our president, so we must cooperate with him if possible. If our nation divides too much, our enemies will benefit.

I'm not asking for Dems to pull a Newsom and turn their back on trans rights and other issues harming marginalized Americans and other marginalized groups in the world. But I'm not asking for reverse racism and cancel culture either. I'm asking for equality and stability.
