Dark humor to younger people always means offensive. You've probably seen that in 9/11 fixations, or race jokes. Your definition is a liberal one, and we can go with that.

My biggest complaint is your gifs of people experiencing pain and slapstick. If you put more effort into those gifs, adding disappearing text for sound effects, witty comments throughout, I think that would greatly improve those gifs.

This is a good example of the subjectiveness of Dark Humour

I thank you for your idea but I decided long ago not to apply those effects and comments and leave the gifs as found but with a hopefully, funny title
Your suggestion is more of an American or younger persons idea of how a gif is presented but I am old and from England

How can I put this ? ... There is not an adjective in the world that describes how uninterested in football I am. I have never seen a match on television - I've never played a game, even at school
