I had a pastor at my school say marriage should only be done by the church, and only christians should be allowed to get married because "marriage was invented by god." He wanted to exclude non-christians from marriage since "they cannot recognize god and therefore cannot receive his gift of marriage to us"

He was also suggesting adding religion to your license to include/exclude people from certain things.

Insanity.

The Abrahamic religions can be the most hateful bunch on earth ... although I'm not really worried about some Amish dude putting on a self-delete vest and walking into a crowded market.

But it does seem that some xtian groups take notes from Sharia Law...
