Yes, we did. That's what arguably makes what is happening in Gaza even more horrifying, sad and hard to justify to any feeling person. Nothing should be compared to what the Nazis did, and "Never again" still stands, but tens of thousands of mostly innocent civilians dead, displaced or at risk of starvation and disease is an atrocity. At the very least, I'm pretty confident it's a war crime or violates a fair few international laws that most of us agreed on post WW2.
Some of the more extreme voices reverting to classic antisemitism should be condemned, I agree. But simply calling for restraint doesn't automatically make you antisemitic. It makes you human. Any civilized person would (or should) feel the same if it was the other way round. It's a bit of a lazy defence tbh. Is the Israeli govt free to do anything with impunity now? Where are the limits? As usual, the average person is caught in the political crossfire.
