I love the antics and playful wisdom of the Monkey King!

Me too! Is that still from the movie where Jet Li plays Monkey and Jackie Chan plays the other mentor figure, and some forgetable boy is the main character?

Yeah, the one with the forgetable boy. I liked the Jet Line version. Of course, I pretty much like all Jet Li movies. This movie is amazing, gorgeous, and an interesting historical drama.

I love that movie!! It was the first sad ending movie my kids officially watched. ~~Funny story: Chinese shows are officially one of my Things, and have been since before the transfer of Hong Kong. I'm still sad that I lost some favorites with the transfer from VHS to digital.

Chinese movies, history, etc are my Thing, too. Hero had a sad ending, but with incredibly deep meanings for it to end that way. Speaking of first sad ending movie... mine was The Wicker Man. I was absolutely thrilled with the ending. Not for the story so much as for the movie experience. Movies are also my Thing...it was wonderful to be surprised!
