That doesn't mean prices won't go up. Inflation is really when the government prints more money, amd prices going up are just a natural effect of that.
The whole point of the tariffs is to artificially make overseas manufacturing prohibitively expensive aka, massively increase prices unless and until manufacturers on-shore everything AND somehow manage to get prices affordable despite our labor laws, unions, minimum wage laws, and other burdensome regulations
I know some companies are talking about manufacuring in the U.S. regardless, but my guess is that most companies will just wait out the tariffs or ask for a exceptions rather than trying to onshore all their manufacturing for the sake of the next 4 years. Even the tarrifs on China aren't really high enough to make onshoring a financially viable option anyway
