I don't think that getting married or having kids are things that qualify you to be a political leader. There have been several single male politicians throughout history, and their marital status didn't affect how qualified they are. On the flip side, Joe Biden was married, and he was terribly unqualified to be president.
I don't get why "never been married" and "never had a child" are at the top of the list. They're important duties that BOTH women AND men need to fulfill, perhaps the most important duty of all. Yet society deems it more important that women get married and have children than that men do the same thing. This is ridiculously sexist and unfair.
If AOC were a man, I doubt that marriage and children would be on the list of reasons why "he" isn't qualified, and it certainly wouldn't be at the top.
Disclaimer, I am a Conservative. I just want to encourage thoughtful discussion. Not only that, but posts like this meme make the Conservative Party look misogynistic and oppressive toward women. That's not the way this party should run.
