They is already used as a plural pronoun. Like.. " I lost my keys.. where are they?" Or. " All four voices in my head will talk while I think.. and it's harder to do that if they scream while I'm trying to I think"

I've heard they as neutral too, like "I've heard your sibling was sick, are they going better now ?"
It is already used for objects and other animals, so it wouldn't makes sense at all.
If anything, English could use a 3rd pronoun, but seeing how an already established pronoun is get bashed, it's NOT happening.

Right. So when the was first being used as a pronoun I was just getting used to my symptoms.. maybe I was just feeling more like a "we" and feeling a bit left out. :)
