Floyd is a victim because Chauvin broke protocol and used unneccesary force, so he should serve the sentence for that.

No, he didn't. He followed the training he received. That's why the rigged court wouldn't allow the police training manual into evidence during his trial.

Only thing is I'm not certain whether Floyd died from Chauvin or the substances in his system. All I'm saying is that Chauvin should at least serve a full sentence for his violation. There are other cases where police brutality has definitely killed people, but I don't think defunding will solve the issue as well as reform and intensive training can.

I am the product of a career cop...my father  worked his way from walking a beat to Chief of police of medium city in a differnet state. Police are servants to protect.  He didnt do the lawyer path that so many choose.

That's the thing, most cops do their best to protect our neighborhoods, but the racial bias of a few hurts departments as a whole. We still need good police officers like your father, and many children see cops as heroes, so reform can help our police system greatly.

Not reform....some communities want their police to behave as such.  Some are so big BAD ACTORS get in.

I might be MAGA-woke. Get this, I support racial and gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, and climate change reduction. But I find Trump to be a rather effective and charismatic president and I oppose him less than I used to. Issues such as systemic inequality and police brutality concern me, but if Trump of all people has a better way to solve them than DEI, reparations, or riots in the streets, so be it.
