Both sides are playing a very, very dangerous brinkmanship game of chicken in hopes that the other side will blink first and back down and politically capitulate rather than continue ramping up the military retaliation cycle.

This is the sort of crap that leads to glowing fields of radiating glass where population centers used to exist.

Just as long as the US doesn’t have to spend our money cleaning up their mess, I’m fine with their mutual annihilation
