The funny thing about autism is that it's treated by psychology, vs a medical problem. For all we know it could be caused by exposures to lead, farming chemicals, tap water, radon, or plastic. The medical field doesn't know. If it's something to do with the brain take als or Parkinson's, doctors still don't know what caused or causes such diseases. Cancer has no knowledge cause in some instances as to why cells mutate and continuously reproduce. Autism on the other hand is close to a behavioral issue. This whole on the spectrum dial for children is difficult for parents. It's a full time job to help raise a autistic child. Some are defiant, others are sweet as candy, some children with autism can be out right psycho. I think it's a matter of parents having time and support to help raise autistic children. Autistic adults are in need of strong community support and acceptance as long as the autistic person is civil and able to participate in society. Lots of medical problems in this world need a cure, autism needs acceptance and support.
