Why are the leftists abandoning ship? There must be a reason.

Since Trump took office (again), two Democrats in congress have died, and four more have announced they will retire. I suppose you can't exactly prevent death, or dictate when it comes. But with the retirements as well, isn't this all shaping up to be an odd coincidence?
