You got it backwards. TDS is derangement syndrome with a trigger: Trump. Characterized by out of context hate instead of in contexts dislike for his policies and actions. For instance "I think tariffs could have a negative effect on the economy" compared to "OMG, Trump is Hitler for putting tariffs on countries that are allies!!!1!"
No one worships Trump. That's how the left treat it's is leaders.
In point of fact most on the left seem to have been brainwashed into Stockholm syndrome. I saw a video by hoemath where he did an interview with an ex CIA agent on brainwashing and he described this exact behavior.
