Good grief, are they insane? I have not heard of this.
Elon wants to sell the SF Mint, despite the fact that the US Mint is the only government agency actually generates profit. There's three other mint facilities (Philadelphia, Denver, West Point), but San Francisco is a really important one, and it's almost 100 years old.
