Yeah, vulture is better...but not as funny as a sweet chicken who likes to play. At least my chickens liked to chase and play. Chickens are the complete.opposite of depression! That's why I like this cartoon.

I love “The Far Side”. Larson had/has a great knack for the absurd things that are also extremely funny.

Yeah, I've always liked it. But the more experience I have to life, the more I understand the Far Side. I've been happy to see you post many Far Sides.

I’ve watched a couple of different interviews with Gary Larson and he always seemed to be a completely normal and well adjusted man. MAD Magazine was a big influence on him just like it was for most of the great cartoonists that came after it first started. That was always the main home for crazy and absurdly funny cartoons.

Hmmm...another one I didn't understand in my inexperienced years. I'm curious what Larson looks like. I'll check it out. I wonder if I'll see "crazy mad man" behind his eyes...

He looks pretty normal. He “officially retired” from his daily “The Far Side” newspaper comics in 1995. He still does stuff on his website, but not as frequently.

Sometimes, when my brain is tired, I read things incorrectly. I thought you wrote He "officially weird" and "This is Gary Larson I his early years of service".... like he was in the service of entertaining us. He's a mad man in service of Weird.

I absolutely love chickens. Back a few years ago, before we moved cross-country, we had chickens. I was always the one to go out and feed them, and I would play with them and hold them and pet them. I miss them...
