I agree wholeheartedly. I would like to see a town let its residents vote to abolish their public school district if they prefer to homeschool their children or send them to private schools. Then that town can spend more time, energy and money on other things, such as restocking libraries, improving infrastructure, beefing up equipment for first responders, and sprucing up parks and recreation facilities. Or they could cut tax rates and encourage more residents to move in.
