As George H.W. Bush's VP, Quayle certified the Clinton/Gore 1992 election win over Bush and himself.  Just prior to January 6, 2021, Quayle advised Pence as to the limits of his power.

True, he was the butt of a lot of jokes having nothing to do with his capability.  VPs on both sides get a lot of flak.

But from that ugly debate with Lloyd Bentsen to the potato incident and all in between, seemed a bit more up on the harsh. 



GHW Bush got it in loads too, and even worse from the backstabbing Republicans themselves. 



They went from crapping on their own candidates then to worshiping some guy who is destroying America from without and within now.
