I’m a conservative atheist and I agree. If death is defined as the cessation of heartbeat AND brain function, and if life is the opposite of death, then a human with a heartbeat and brain activity should be defined as being alive. This all technically happens around the end of the first trimester so logically, an abortion past week 13 should be considered murder.
BTW, this stance pisses off both the pro life and pro choice crowds.
