I think it's really just sour grapes on Boyega's part. He figured that his film appearance would be enough to launch him into a host of either movie roles or starring television parts. He forgot that he's still got to be a good actor with a certain amount of personality-appeal or charisma in order for those follow up roles to occur. Either you've got those elements or you don't.
