This great debate has many layers

I like pizza better personally. I especially like this multi-leveled pizza at the bottom.

YES. Pizza pie becomes pizza cake! The only disadvantage I can see is the need for a knife and fork. And what if each layer was a different flavor: talk about a combo!!   Hmmm, suddenly I'm craving pizza!
