This happens a lot. Once, we drove by three different convenience stores, two grocery stores, a strip mall with two different barbers, four of the exact same type of restaurant (all different chains), and two electronics stores. All of them were rivals of someone else that we had passed. And they were all tightly clumped into one specific stretch of road.
