Trump Offers Personal Funds for Astronaut Overtime

President Donald Trump has announced his intention to personally finance overtime compensation for two NASA astronauts, Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, who recently returned after being stranded in space for nearly 10 months. The astronauts were receiving only $5 per day as extra pay during their extended mission, highlighting a significant compensation shortfall. Trump's offer came in light of the rescue operation led by Elon Musk's SpaceX.

That's great, I hope those astronauts will be ok after all that time in zero gravity.

I read it's expected to take them about the same amount of time to readjust to gravity.

I think even with vigorous low G exercises, the muscles still atrophy. If (well, when...) we get to the point of having astronauts return from Mars after an extended stay, it's going to be bad for them. I would imagine that most who go to Mars will die there. Musk himself said he wants to die on Mars, just not on impact.
