It's technically not an empire according to the traditional definition, but realistically it is both such a dominating economic and military power in the world that it might as well be an empire without, you know, the colonization and white washing stuff.

The irony is that the leftists, whom often seem to hate this nation, can only safely express their hatred because of the U.S. Constitution and the fact that, through both military might and economic dominance, Russia and Communist China dares not even TRY to conquer the United States. The things that the Political Left hate is what ensures their freedom to safely hate.

I get that the United States has many freedoms but we could probably have gotten those privileges and kept them without committing genocide. Just food for thought

What genocide? Just because the political Left SHRIEKS genocide, doesn't mean that any has occurred -- considering the Left's track record when it comes to truth-telling, it probably hasn't -- or that it had anything to do with the United States.

Facts? I got facts. Before Europeans arrived in the Americas, there were an estimated 10 million Native Americans living there, by 1900 there were 300,000. What events could have happened between those two time periods to cause such a sudden drop in population?

Yes because never in the history of the entire world have nations swarmed newly discovered lands and conquered natives. Africans didn't do that, Egyptians didn't do that, Muslims didn't do that, Asians didn't do that. Indians didn't do that. Indigenous native Americans didn't do that . . . oh wait, yes they did to one another. So dig that logic hole a little deeper.

No, humans do not suck. For every bad person there is a good person. It's just that the bad get all the press. Also don't confuse individuals with their government. Having a sense of perspective is something one should gain from a study of history.

I’m going to agree because we have a tendency to interfere in foreign affairs, like when we sent marines into Central America for the benefit of banana growers and staged a coup against a democratically elected government in Ukraine.
