You’ve said “trans” people should get their surgeries, but maybe that’s a want? After all, a doctor’s time and hospital resources can be better spent doing the double lung transplants on those with cystic fibrosis than on plastic surgeries that lead to higher suicide rates.

But there’s only so much resources that can be given — I’d say a double lung transplant trumps something that’s entirely in the head— especially when science is showing that those who get the surgeries are actually more likely to have worse psychological needs.
