He Became a Sculptor

The best part of this is the head and fingertips of the snowman peering over the horizon. I wish some kid would make that for real. It would be awesome.

Here's a question I have that maybe you can answer for me. Are all those snowmen on the walkway facepalming or saluting? Please let me know.

I always thought they were saluting. I don't think facepalming would have been drawn like that at the time when his comic strip was in the newspapers. They look like soldiers lined up to salute Calvin's Dad when he was walking up the path to the house...also like saying "Yes, Sir!"
