It's just sarcasm, or maybe more accurately, irony. Apparently I underestimated how obtuse people in Canadia can be when it comes to good natured American humor in the form of sarcasm / irony.

Yeah, I've been in a nervous sweat ever since I saw the meme...

I'm not a big hockey fan, at least not until recently when our National team dropped gloves and kicked the azzes of some of Canadia's finest after they booed our national anthem.

If you're more of a fan, do you know, in the photo used for the meme, is the guy in blue from the American team and the guy in red is from the Canadian team? Or maybe that's just a random hockey photo?

Thanks. I thought it would be curious and somehow appropriate if the photo used for the meme was actually a US player beating the crap out of a Canadian player! We did kick their collective Canadian asses the time their fans decided to boo our national anthem, so that would’ve been appropriate.

I had no idea that was a 2 day old meme. Usually I notice.
Canada has not been a good neighbor for us in a while.
