That's because it's nothing but a leftist generated, and cynically RINO supported, scam wrapped around a thin patina of pseudo-science -- which at that was deliberately taken out of context by the scammers.
In other words it's a lucrative money maker and a power wedge for the unprincipled preying off the gullibility of too many citizens who SHOULD know better. What it does have going for it is massive amounts of money that's essentially unaccounted for that politicians and science scammers can dip their beaks into in unlimited amounts.
