Thoughts about this? I’m talking about a particular type of Zionist, as in the evangelical Christian one

On a somewhat related note, this actually kind of reminds me of the time someone said Palestinians had originally come from Crete. When I called them out on their bullshit, they quoted the Bible on it.

Now, in retrospect, there is some consensus that Palestinians might have partially come from Crete. But the person in question was using this as an argument that the land actually doesn’t belong to Palestinians, and to support said belief, they used the Bible. Meaning that it could actually be true that (some) right-wing Zionists see anything that deviates from their personal religious beliefs (whether it’d be belief in the Bible or the Torah) as something that is inherently evil, including the objectively correct idea that Palestine belongs to the Palestinians.

I’d say that the Bible is, for all practical purposes, a book of fairytales and thus cannot be used as a reliable source. But Israel is also a fantasy state, and Zionists do believe in it, so this argument probably wouldn’t work against them.
