Our faith in Jesus Christ is represented by the sparkling, pure white wedding gown on the left. If we live righteously, the wedding gown will remain sparkling. But when we sin, we damage the wedding gown by staining it, or even tearing it. We cannot attend the wedding feast that will take place in Heaven in a wedding gown that is torn or stained, and we cannot repair or clean the gown ourselves. We must pray to God to forgive us for our sins, and only then will God make our wedding gown pure, spotless and perfect again.
