Exactly, I highly doubt that they would join up as one single state, with the provinces having no problem combining as one.
There's been talk from the Prairie Provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba of wanting to join the US for years, not that serious though I figure. And while they're more rural farmer types and lean more conservative, they're not like the Conservatives in the US, farther left. And they, like the rest of Canada, aren't about to sign up and give up the universal health care and other such comforts they've grown accustomed too just to boost Trump's ego. Even elementary school teachers make six figures.
