it's so frustrating. and once you bring up an actual point, they either ignore it, insult you, or claim that you've been brainwashed.

That's the purpose, to frustrate you, wear you out, and get you to give up and shut down.

I've had discussions where I actually was agreement with them AND pointed that out in case they thought I was being sarcastic, and they still carried on with the usual bogus arguments and downvoted my comments into lowrated.

They're not even looking to convert anyone and bring them on their side anymore, they just want to shout them out.
