It is a false equivalent to state that passing on the message that the creator of the universe sets the ultimate standards: don't kill, don't steal, etc, hate others. In fact, I do not tell anyone to not do whatever they want, short of hurting others. I, and other Christians, point out that Creator and judge of the universe has given each of us the right to choose to follow what He says.. or not. There are predictable outcomes to either choice and we just point out what He tells us in an effort to keep others from experiencing decidedly negative futures. I do not hate others, regardless of their actions. If I, knowing what God tells us about His standards, don't pass these standards on to others, then I would be guilty of hating, or worse, not caring about a harm awaiting an individual at the end of this life.

Not really, faith is acceptance of illogical ideas just because they "feel good". It scales, it revokes power and individuality from people and it damages the ability to think.

The world is filled with broken people. Sadly, many will never experience the hope and joy of a relationship with God. They follow the world and therefore follow what the great deceiver wants for them. I am heartsick for those that choose not to listen, understand, or even research for themselves. As you know, there are only two options in the next life: forever with Jesus or forever separated. We can only point the way to the Only Way. The most important thing is to leave them in the hands of God. He is the only One that can change them after all.

The equation to get religion is "time"+"cult" = "religion"

And believing in "god" is on the same fundamental grounds as believing in "Santa." A magical person who can see and hear everything, an omnipotent being? Go back to reading fantasy novels.

And, how do we know the bible is a book about actual events?
It might be a novel (like (The Odyssey"), just a story, that cannot be factual according to current science and archeological knowledge.

I'm not an expert with like an academic background in this, but I've talked to a lot of religious people and have been religious too, and tbh, that equation is pretty wrong. It's "social acceptance"+"cult"="religion"

good article! It does indeed display reasons behind your point! However, it does not display how being gay is bad. just gay parents.

I believe it is a reason to view being gay as unnatural or unmoral. Honestly, whether one views gayness as right or wrong comes down to morality. One cannot prove such things as blatantly right or wrong using modern science. It is not set up to prove things like that. However, this article shows that being Gay can be quite harmful to innocent children, and that to me shows that there is something inherently wrong with it, compared to heterosexuality.

Unnatural? Gayness appears quite a bit in nature. Unmoral? Is someone not loving the opposite gender and being forced into relationshipthey dont want to be in moral? Or forcing them to be alone because they cant love ewho they want? Being gay is not a choice.

From my moral and religious standpoint, gayness is unnatural, immoral, and a choice. It is okay if you do not believe the same as I do, I am simply expressing my viewpoint and evidence on the topic, as are you.
