Let’s see if I can make this as simple as possible. There has to be a trade off for everything. That’s why nothing is ever free. If you want something free someone else has to produce it and lose it. What trade off does that person get? If I can’t keep what I earn but have to give it to the community to be distributed to everyone else, including those who won’t work, why should I work? Then of everyone else refuses to work, nothing is produced and everyone has nothing. Work is part of life, and wages are the reward of it in order to exchange for goods and services that you need. Thinking it ever could be otherwise is just fantasy.

Think of a family where everyone helps each other live, and if someone needs something, they get it. Therefore, if one doesn't have to worry about struggling to survive, they can think with their human brain rather than their animal brain. Therefore they'll be able to help out too.

Nobody who works for wages is a slave — not even a “wage slave” which is a bogus term. If someone has a a “wage slave” that means he can’t leave the company to find a new job if the previous one doesn’t suit him. However, that’s actually easy to do in capitalism. I can quit my job if I get a better one anytime I please. Under communism though, you don’t have new businesses starting because nobody can purchase means of production. Interestingly, they also place work quotas on the workers to ensure products are produced. Can’t have the iron workers refusing to smelt ore because they can get everything for free — if they all do that no iron to make things of iron or steel. So they require quotas to meet the demand for iron. Do you know who else does things like that? Slave owners.

That’s one of the things about capitalism. It’s impossible for one person to completely control markets and all means of production. Someone else can make a generic brand of your medicine that does the same thing and costs much less, or you can find a new dispensary that can afford to sell them for less.

We would then have to go to a barter system where I trade my excess issued eggs for someone else’s excess issued blanket— and if I can’t find someone who both needs extra eggs and has an extra blanket, I have to do without. Coincidence of need is astronomically rare. But we solved that problem thousands of years ago by inventing money as a common medium of exchange. Now my boss works for an entire government department and can’t possibly do everything that he would be needed to do alone, so he offers me money in exchange for helping him. That’s how we benefit each other.

I'm thinking more of a family based economy. Where everyone is guaranteed everything, and they have more control over things that happen if they are a worker. Not everyone is interested in having influence over the economy. Just as someone who does chores in the house has more control over the house than someone who doesn't. Also if someone needs something, we help that person out. And if you feel like someone's doing something wrong, you can speak out
