I think that part of the problem is that effectively there is no meaningful accountability. Since behind the scenes money is keeping fanatically leftist loyal 'news' outlets of ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, and CNN financially afloat -- even as they rupture viewing audiences -- they have no real incentive to start telling the actual and verifiable truth about anything remotely politically related; and so they don't.
