yeah except that wasn't a basic felony. The court prosecution basically said nothing throughout the whole court and then presented their case in their closing statements (which were after the defense attorneys'), meaning the defense had no opportunity to even defend the defendant. That's unconstitutional and would never hold in a legit court, but they knew it would take several months to appeal, which would be after the election. The entire point of that court was to A) waste Trump's campaign time, B) waste all his money, and C) scare off voters by labeling him a convicted felon. The hush money wasn't even a huge felony either and if it was, then it'd be really funny to go after Trump for it bc his opponents have done much more than pay hush money when it comes to Hunter's laptop and Hillary's emails. They've raided people's houses and confiscated evidence to cover things up, and also arrested people without reason for having information or running investigations. That's ridiculously illegal, yet Trump is the only presidential candidate that gets legal troubles during his campaign. And the judge of Trump's case, Alvin Bragg, has bragged that he's sued Trump 100 times - and his daughter also had money on this court and was going to lose millions if he were declared innocent (which in most cases would be classified as a "conflict of interest"). There's a lot of law evading done to convict Trump, and then they try to claim he's trying to evade the law or be above it. Meanwhile Biden just pardoned his insane son for being his son just months after saying no one was above the law.
