Sadly, none may change your mind. At least, none of us lowly fellow sinners. Your mind will not admit that which your heart refuses to see. The only One capable of changing your heart is found in the pages of His words to us. The Bible tells of us of One perfect in love, perfect in justice, and perfect truth. He will speak to anyone willing to listen to Him through those very pages. I am praying to God even now that you might be one called by Him from the beginning of everything and that He will draw you closer to Him soon. 😌

First of all I guess I’m not going to get any arguments for why it is real from this stream. Secondly does he listen to gay people tho? (I’m not gay I’m just saying)

We are all sinners. God listens to all of us. Why would we argue with you? Your heart needs changed and the mind will follow from there. Be well.😌

Are you calling gays sinners?

i think gays are included in “we are all”

It's just the way he said it that made me think it was directed at gays.

"We are all". I am unclear how you managed to pull that from what I said. We and all clearly points to all of us. Melanin levels in skin does not matter to God. Culture doesn't matter. Righteousness does. Man sees the outside but God sees what is important. All those that follow Christ are divinely mandated to love one another as God does. The scripture goes: For ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Adam was created in God's image. When he disobeyed God (sinned), we were then "created" in Adam's image; fallen creatures.. sinners.

Any sex other than that between a man and his wife is called fornication; a sinful act. A man an woman that aren't married having sex is a sinful act also called fornication. Blaspheming God or Jesus Christ is a sin. Stealing is a sin. Lieing is a sin. Murder of another human is a sin. Just in case there is any lingering confusion.

Why is being gay a sin? (to you at least)

As longer as someone doesn't strike me, injure me, steal from me; they are not sinning against me. If they break God's laws they are sinning against Him.
If a person is rafting down an unfamiliar river and I know that around a bend in the river that there are dangerous rapids that end in a giant waterfall, would it be "loving" or "supportive" of me to not warn them of the perils that lie ahead?
The strictures and prohibitions in both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, which the early leaders of what has become known as Christianity referenced in the late first and early second centuries have not changed and are very clear. Any sin, any breaking of God's rules for living, separate us from God. He is perfectly good and does not allow sin in His presence.

Okay, why does GOD think it's a sin?

He created everything so He gets to make the rules.

"I pray that everyone chooses correctly but whatever choice you make, be well."
The less punk way of saying "I'm right and you're wrong."

So...when you say he is against sin, you're saying he's against gays, which he thinks are sinners.

He hates sin. The person sinning can still be saved.

Each of us must live our lives according to whatever code, wants, wishes, etc that we think best. God granted each of us the choice to love Him, hate Him, or ignore Him. We will still meet Him at least once. I pray that everyone chooses correctly but whatever choice you make, be well.

I just think being gay isn't a sin. Nobody's getting hurt, nobody's getting offended, and it's just a way that people feel.

So god is a homophobe
0 ups, 2w
Nope. He is a against sin. But that is why He sent His Son to offer humanity a path back to connecting with Him. Since Jesus is worth more than all of creation, He was able to pay the penalty that each of US have earned by OUR sin against God.

Thank you but the thing is im just interested in what you think proves God's existence
0 ups, 2w
I appreciate that question. I cannot "prove" the existence of God just as you cannot prove that He doesn't. The obvious existence of great evil proves to me and many others the existence of it's opposite. The existence of the immense amount of information contained within the DNA of living things is best explained by an intellect capable of encoding it into each organism. Abiogenesis is a statistical impossibility. You see a building, you dont think it built itself over millions of years. You are most likely very intelligent. I would guess you know less than 1% of all that can be known. Is it possible that the proof you require exists in the other 99%. Before you ask me the reverse of that to me, I am 100% certain that God exists and that He is far greater than we can possibly imagine. I believe also that there is life after the death of the physical body. NDEs are found in every culture around the world.

Oh I can answer that:

It started because I was raised to believe, but like every healthy Christian I had to come to my own faith, and several things bolstered it:

The idea of the incredible complexity of creation appearing WITHOUT a creative and intelligent force behind it takes MORE faith than to believe in God.

The historicity, archaeological evidence, and consistency of the Bible in context, including the evidence for the actual resurrection of Jesus.

The impervious logic of Jesus' words coupled with His recorded actions.

The observance of minor miracles in the live of myself and others (too many "serendipitous coincidences" along with surprising healings).

Personal experience, spiritually, emotionally, and psychologically.

God used all of this to convince me if the Truth of His Word. I HOPE that He will do the same for you, my friend! 🫶🏻

I would encourage you to read "I don't have enough faith to be an atheist" by Frank Turek, "Reason for God" but Tim Keller, and any of the "The Case For (God, Christ, Creation)" by Lee Strobel. “Mere Christianity“ by CS Luis is an awesome Reed as well. At least two of the guys on this list started out atheists who began to search for whether God was real and true, and came to the conclusion that the evidence points to God and to Christ. Another very short book is “more than a carpenter” by Josh McDowell. Each of these presents multiple reasons to believe in, not just A god, but the God of the Bible.

The problem is, there are no short answers to the questions that you’re asking. Not any of that you’ll accept anyway. You’re also not going to receive the truth unless you’re open to it
0 ups, 1w
I don’t want to be proven of God’s existence I’m just wondering what makes you believe in it and what you would argue as proof
