Nobody had a problem with minority protagonists until there was an ideology forcing them into the roles for 'the message', rather than just hiring someone because they were the best option for the role.

Now people see minorities and assume they only got the job/character because they're black/gay/disabled etc...because thats exactly the case 99% of the time in the modern era

Im mixed race and even I doubt any (for example) black woman in a lead role got the job on merit in the last 10-15 years....maybe they did? but the odds at this point say probably not...which was not an issue up until liberals created a racist agenda around it

I personally think that minorities are fine as protagonists (and antagonists, as Poison Ivy is lesbian in one of the cartoons for Batman)

It just depends. If it’s their whole thing, then meh. If they are a likable character in other ways, it’s cool. Idk, sry 4 bad wording lol

I see nothing wrong with it either.
