Not me but my mother-in-law was born and raised in Mexico, which makes my wife half-Hispanic (her dad was white).

Cool man. I'm half Puerto Rican, and half Italian so it's a wacky mix of cultures lol, I'm the most New Jersey guy ever, except for the fact I'm not a leftist.

My wife was born and raised in Southern California. I grew up in So. Cal. but I was born in Georgia. And I am also NOT a leftist, nor do I live in California anymore. I'm not really half anything but I did live with 2 separate cultures, my Southern parents culture and the So. Cal. culture. When I a kid in Kindergarten I got laughed at by the other kids for saying, "Yes, ma'am" and "No, ma'am" to my teacher.

I've been to New Jersey once on business. That's about all I know of New Jersey.

Interesting

My wife had/has bigger problems. The other Mexican kids would treat her bad because she wasn't full Mexican. She never had any problems with white kids. To this day some of her primos and even a tio doesn't consider her Mexican enough.

I don't know if you ever ran into anything like that. I hope not. My opinion is no matter who you are you should always be proud your ancestry, heritage and culture.

I didn't because I can speak Spanish decently well, but Puerto Rican are very happy to be part of the US, so they don't really question my Puerto rican-ness. The Italian side is different, considering that I speak no Italian, but I might learn one day
