The way for tax revenues to go up is to eliminate corporate taxes and lower income taxes. With more money people will spend more and this pay higher sales taxes.

It is to put everyone in a higher tax bracket & then steal them blind, raise CC interest to 29% so when they turn to those, they are buried for life.

Trouble with that is the higher the tax rate the lower tie revenues will be. For those who keep saying “raise taxes on ‘the rich’” this phenomenon is so common there’s even a name for it. The Laffer Curve. There’s a peak point of about 20% after which people will produce less because they can’t keep what they earn. Then they start emigrating to tax friendly countries and states. It happened with IKEA in Sweden and is happening in NY and CA.
