Not within the past few days, but I’ve been a Simpsons fan for a long time.

I was just in the mood to make some memes using the Simpsons yesterday. Lol.

I might make some using Family Guy, Futurama, and/or Spongebob later this week or next week. Maybe even some Rick and Morty. Idk yet. I haven’t decided.

I often use the temp it gave me as a challenge.

I used to use a word generator when I posted often in the fun stream. I’d generate a word, use that word to search for templates, and then try to challenge myself to make a meme with one of the template results. :)

I think the creators were using it as a joke because at the time it was made, gay/lesbian were laughed at and they wanted to make it random/funny

It is added to be a silly/random thing, but it's not to make fun of gay people.

In the previous season (season 5), it’s mentioned in an episode that Lisa got the family to march in a LGBTQ rights parade. In the same season as this meme (season 6), Patty, Selma, and Marge ask the movie critic, Sherman, in a fun gossipy way, which celebrities are gay.

The Simpsons is pretty pro-LGBTQ overall.
